Meal Preparation at Home
When it comes to eating healthy, cooking your own meals is one way to ensure success. Preparing our own meals is often less expensive and we have complete control over the ingredients – meaning we can make cheaper, healthier meals! However, prepackaged entrees and restaurant take-out can often be the faster and easier choice. This month’s healthy habit to add or improve upon is meal preparation at home. Make time for meal prep a few days a week, find healthy recipes to cook – and make large portions for leftovers.
February Healthy Habit: improve meal preparation/cooking at home by either:
- Meal prep on Sundays and Wednesdays (or pick your own days), purchase and prep ingredients, if able cook meals ahead of time.
- Reduce the number of meals from restaurants, take-out, or prepackaged entrees
